Background
Founded in 2012 by Joaquín Parra, Right Side grew from a small roastery in Castelldefels into one of Barcelona’s most influential specialty projects. The philosophy is producer first and lot specific, with seasonal single origin coffees roasted light to highlight sweetness, clarity, and place. Right Side states its purpose plainly, “sourcing consciously, roasting uniquely and brewing just right,” and the mantra “never forget origins” runs through labels, classes, and service. In 2023 the team opened Right Side Coffee Bar in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, giving a focused, tasting led window into the house style.
