Mirra
Led by founder Will Warren, Mirra pairs producer first sourcing and a single origin focus with very precise, light roasting, yielding sweet, clean cups with a clear sense of place. Classic processing anchors the range, with measured experiments adding breadth without masking terroir, and labels make farm, process, harvest, and lot easy to read. Even the more accessible price tiers are thoughtfully selected and roasted, delivering tidy, satisfying cups day after day.
Background
Founded in December 2022 by Will Warren, Mirra is a Kingston, New York roastery built deliberately around a Nordic style. The philosophy is producer first and lot specific, with single producer and often single variety coffees, high traceability, and a roast approach kept as light as possible to show refined sweetness, clean acidity, and a tea like feel. Mirra states a preference for classic processing and for minimizing roast and fermentation influence so that flavor reads as varietal and place driven rather than process driven.

Panel evaluation
Roasting is very light and carefully calibrated, giving cups that are sweet, clear, and quietly complex across pour over and espresso. The menu reads strongly single origin with a backbone of washed and clean naturals, and the process stays in service of structure rather than spectacle. Labels and product pages are tidy and helpful, with the producer easy to spot and details like variety, process, and harvest explained plainly, which supports trust and easy brewing. More than once our panel has tasted truly fantastic cups from Mirra. In the absence of a coffee bar or showroom where this quality can be experienced directly, our highest distinction remains out of reach for now.
