Founded in 2014 by Lars Frello, Clever Coffee is a Danish roastery built on transparent buying and light, clarity driven roasting. The company is a certified B Corp and frames its purpose plainly, to use its core business to create a positive impact on people and the environment while trading responsibly with producers. In 2025 Clever Coffee recertified with a B Corp score of 154.6, among the highest for any coffee company in the EU, underscoring that mission in practice. Operations are based at Fillerupvej 27 in Odder, south of Aarhus.

Cups read very clean, with sweetness up front and a calm, well drawn acidity that holds as the coffee cools. The range is single origin only, and classic profiles feel steady and composed, while occasional process driven lots add lift without crowding variety or place.
